The 39 hour standoff....

I have no clue what got into me yesterday, however I showed up to work at the golf course at 7am and never once reached for a diet coke (they only serve pepsi and I normally bring myself a diet coke or 2 to get me through my shifts) however, at the end of 9 hours of working, i felt pretty good without any caffeine, i came home, went for a run, went to B&L's for Sunday dinner, and then came home and went to bed. Thought NOTHING of not having a pop (okay, well i kinda did, but didn't think that I really needed one, so I refrained!)

**i did however try and put my chicken from work on a shelf, and put my phone in the fridge - i just chalked that one up to being tired, not the lack of caffeine- but who knows!**

this morning i met my director at first watch for breakfast, and decided to just order a water, i have some will power right? i don't need caffeine.

i got to work, and continued about my day, and then i realized i was becoming HIGHLY irritable.. and that i had no patience for anyone. so i decided it may be the lack of caffeine, and i have a slight headache, which too is from the lack of caffeine... so i decided for lunch that I was going to end my 39 hour drought of my beloved diet coke... and I surrendered to my favorite beverage in the entire world! the DC won!
Welcome back DC - I missed you!

Ugghh. I know, I am already exhausted with it, I don't know how I would be. I gave it up for over a year and I just couldn't do it anymore! Hope you had a great weekend!

Bath and Body Works is the WORST for taking away Romance!!!! I don't think I will ever get over it!

The last time I went on a caffine hiatus I came back and lovingly embraced my Dr. Pepper and said, "Don't you ever do that again! That was the longest 45 minutes of my LIFE!"

It's so funny you posted about this today... Just this morning, I woke up and decided I am giving up Diet Coke, once and for all. Then I blogged about it! I don't have a headache yet, but gosh, am I in a irritable mood!

I've tried giving up Diet Coke many, many times. I've obviously failed. I did however switch to Coke Zero and fell in *love* with it. Now DC tastes chemical-y to me. Isn't that weird how things work?

I am a non coffee drinker. My addiction is really any form of a soda...either Coke, Dr Pepper, Sunkist Orange, I am not really picky. Anyways, I think I went almost two days once...then I realized it's just a love I am not going to do without, why not be happy in life right? Thanks for the story.

Too cute! I was/kind of am a coffee addict. I could drink a pot before noon on the weekend...by myself. Then one day I decided to give it up. Two months later and I'm still going strong. You just have to get over the hump!
