So What Wednesdays....

I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day, and you were able to take time out of your busy day and reflect on all of our armed forces who are serving currently and those who have previously served to make the United States what it is today. I am very proud and fortunate to have family members who have fought for our country, and not just yesterday but every day I am proud of them!

Thank you to everyone in our armed forces!

I will hopefully have a recap up of our memorial day weekend before the end of the week!

Until then.. I am saying
"So what" to the following things

...If I road back from Cleveland Monday [a 2 hour car ride] with my right arm out the window, and my left arm positioned right underneath the sunroof.. i was missing out on valuable sun and I needed to make sure that I got a little sun this weekend

...If Stacey, Ryan, Justin and I went through a slide show of all of our cruise pictures again this weekend, it made me want to go back on vacation immediately

...If this weekend is my MOST favorite weekend of the summer! The memorial tournament is here. I have passes for Sunday, and I can't wait!!

...If I called my parents to share the news about Jimmy T leaving OSU, and when my dad answered, I said "have you heard the news?" and his response was "yes, I know Luke Donald is the #1 golfer in the world" ha! Needless to say he was a little more shocked when I told him about Tressel's resignation

....If I'm indifferent about Jim Tressel leaving OSU. Yes, I am very sad that he is leaving, and it had to go down the way he did, because I truly believe deep down inside that he is a good man, he just got himself stuck in a situation of lies, however, I also think it will be good to start fresh next year. [and to also be able to go for it on 4th and 1]

...If I follow @oldmansearch on twitter. It is a kid who has linked his dad's google account up with twitter and he googles the most RANDOM stuff ever. Justin and I play a game to see who can get to his latest tweets the fastest! [ex. of tweets - recipe for one porkchop, famous whales, eggs give me a headache.... ] go follow him, i know you want to! ha!

...If during the summer and Justin plays softball 3 nights a week, I rarely cook. Its hard when he is sponsored by 2 local pizza shops, and sometimes they go after they play and other weeks they don't. There is nothing that I hate more than throwing away food...

...If i have watched this video probably 198722 times, and shown it off about 198721 times of Molly. Its hilarious, her dad and her are carrying on a conversation about her not being able to kiss boys until she is 22 years old!

...If these are the longest, "so what" responses ever!

So what are you saying
"so what" to on this abbreviated work week?

Head on over to Mama Dew's blog and link up!

Memorial Tournament Pics and Updates

Sorry that I have been a baaaaaad blogger lately... we had a full weekend of the Memorial Tournament, my Internet has been broken at home [wahh] and I am fighting off my allergies/cold [and unfortunately my mind of matter typical ill remedy is NOT working this time!] which any of the 3 could lead to me not being on top of my posts... sorry. but in the meantime here at pictures from Sunday.

We went out to the tournament on Saturday but we entered through the main gate which they search your purse and any other personal belongings so I didn't want to risk loosing my camera - so I opted to leave it in the car.

But Sunday we went to our friends house to watch a few groups and I was able to get a few pictures from the porch
#12
the leader board before play started
zach johnson waiting to putt [this one is for you stace!]
and of course one of JM and myself [ha!]
we watched the first few groups come through on #12 and then met up with my parents and watched a majority of the leaders come through on #14 [my favorite hole to watch golf from on the course]. the entire time we were cheering for rickie fowler... I just love his outlook on the game of golf, he is so calm, and so positive... well and his outfits don't hurt much either - this is what he wore on Sunday

Sorry to bore you with all the golf chatter... but onto some other exciting news that is going on right now for JM and myself:
  • JM has already had his mind set that he wants to switch to an iPhone at the release of the new ones - and I'm starting to come around on it - I just need to crunch some numbers to make sure that it is comparable price wise to my crackberry. I mainly want it for a safety for when I run so I have a phone and an iPod with me... well and lets be honest - for all the amazingly cool apps like a grocery list, and creamy ice.. ha! Do you all have any opinions on the new iPhone that is being released on the 24th? Has anyone switched from a blackberry to an iPhone? was it worth it? or should I just stick with my blackberry? Any advice would be greatly appreciated - as I am stuck with this device for the next 2 years
  • The Biggest Loser competition is winding down - we only have 43 hours left [phew!] i'm ready for this competition to be over with so that we can go on with our lives and I don't have to eat chicken breasts only for lunch - and i'm pretty sure JM is excited for the varieties of dinners again - rather than just cottage cheese and pretzels! ha
  • Aly is coming in town for a wedding on Saturday night, can't wait!
  • Jude is celebrating his 1st bday on Sunday - i can't believe his is 1 already!
  • We are having a MASSIVE celebration party at my parents on Sunday for everyone's bdays (Mom, Sister, Sister's Fiance, My great grandma) and celebrating Father's Day

So with all of this going on I will surely be a little post happy over the next few days!

Consider this your warning!

Happy Wednesday!

Adventures for Memorial Tickets

As of this morning JM and I were patiently waiting to see if we would get tickets for the Memorial Golf Tournament which is in Columbus this weekend....

as the day went on we became more and more discouraged that we may be sitting in the comfort of our living room watching it

and then i got an email from one of my besties Aly saying that her dad had 2 extra tickets, and if I met her half way from her house [we live in OH and she lives in IN], we could have them.....

So JM drove

and I was a good passenger

mainly because JM handed over his Ipod Touch about 2 minutes into the trip and told me to play my games [he clearly knows that i'm not a good car traveler - i'm worse than a 2 year old with having to stop to go to the bathroom, asking if we are there yet, asking how much further, begging him to stop for a drink, ect - you get the point!] so i played this game - the WHOLE time... if you don't have the app - i highly recommend it - its free.. and totally worth it!
leaving Ohio....

passing the Indiana border sign [sorry that i zoomed in too much!]

and in 2 miles after we crossed the border we met up with Aly... I still can't believe that Aly drove 2 1/2 hours round trip to meet us to give us the tickets...ALY you are truly the best, and we can't thank you enough! We are so lucky that you drove all the way for us - thank you for being so thoughtful - and thank you to Big Jim for giving us his tickets!

We literally saw each other long enough to hand over the tickets, hug and then we were both back on the road.

It was a short trip to Indiana but it was sure with it!

JM and I are very excited to go to the tournament today!
