Saturday night we had our 2nd Columbus blogger meet-up

We had a great time catching up with old friends

and meeting new bloggers!

This is just a few of us, I wish we were able to get a picture before people had to leave

but that just means we will need to get together again soon so we can get one of everyone!

Columbus Blogger Meet Up at Cheesecake Factory

You know that nervousness you get when you go on a first date?

Well that's what I was feeling last night when I went to Cheesecake Factory to meet up with a bunch of Columbus Bloggers. I was beyond excited all day at work yesterday, but it was definitely paired with anxiousness and nervousness at the same time.

I feel as if I knew everyone who was coming [thanks to their wonderful blogs that I follow], and I can pretty much carry on a conversation with a wall if i needed to... but to me there is still a little uneasy feeling when meeting someone for the first time [first impressions are everything!]


We all started meeting 1 by 1 at Cheesecake Factory - and all of my nervousness and anxiety was quickly swept away. It was if I was reconnecting with old friends. Our introductions to one another was much more different than a typical introduction they went something similar to this- "Hi, I'm Lindsey from Lovin' My Life" [and yes I felt as if we were all in a counseling session for AA or something!]. But once we got passed our name and our blog title - it was fun getting see the personalities of the girls that I have grown to adore over the past 12 months.

We were finally seated in the restaurant after waiting for a table large enough to fit all 10 of us and we began mingling again.

It was SO nice to finally have conversations about blogging with other girls who understood the blogging community. Some days I feel as if I'm on my own in my own little "cyber world" that not a lot of other people "get". We all understood what it was like to have an online outlet, and why we blog, and it was awesome to actually get to talk to someone about their blog/their design/[and maybe some of your blogs too! :)]/answering questions about how to do things on blogger/what a - without getting the crazy stares, or asking why we blog!

Before we all left, Steph was so cute, she gave us all little ornaments [she is beyond sweet and SO thoughtful!] I have already hung it on my tree. Every time I see it I will think of Steph and our wonderful dinner at Cheesecake!

I left last night wondering when our next blogging meet up would be - and I asked Holly if today would be too soon. I absolutely LOVED it!

Thanks so much girls for coming last night! I can't wait for the next one - and hopefully we will get a few others to join us next time as well!

So What Wednesdays....

So What if....

• I'm so excited to pick Molly up from daycare this afternoon...
  
• I looked back 20973 times on the way to work and loved seeing the car seat base in the back of my car
• I can't stop showing off this picture - Justin sent it to me after I left Roosters - it warms my heart to see him with molly [and cheering on the buckeyes to a victory over the hawkeyes]!
• I try to go to the very last mile on my tank of gas - its a fun game I play.. to see how close I can get without running out of gas! a game someone with anxiety issues [ahem - me!] should never play!... my dad's friend once said my dad was the only person who would burn out their low fuel light in their car... i think I may be a close 2nd... i mean - i only learn from the best! might as well use it all up!
• I have been asking for corn dogs in the hospital cafeteria for over 6 months and yesterday we finally got them! and when i got to the cafeteria i think 4 people approached me to tell me we had corn dogs yesterday :) that made one happy girl! its the little things in life - right?!
• I'm very excited for the Columbus Blogger meet up! if you live in the area and would like to join us - please let me know! its 12.6.2010 at Easton!
• If I made butter salty caramel bars last night for my dessert for thanksgiving.. and when i tried them this morning [yes so what i tried them this morning] they were AWFUL - like beyond salty.. and i even like salt - back to the drawing boards for what to bring tomorrow to thanksgiving...eek! nothing like the last minute!
  
• I love it when I see this building starting to be decorated - that's when i know the holidays are near!
• i'm really looking forward to tomorrow - even if it consists of running a 4 mile race in the freezing rain [no really - that's the forecast - wahhh!], driving to Justin's family's house in Lancaster about an hour a way for 1 turkey meal, and turning back around to have turkey with my family back home! its gonna be a long one - but i wouldn't have it any other way!
• if I really want to participate in the 12 Days of Christmas with two of my faves Molly and Aly but I can't really think of the best gift I have ever received... maybe it will come to me while I'm working today ;)

Columbus Blogger Meet Up

I have been wanting to host a Columbus Blogging Meet Up for quite some time now but never got around to it but when Steph contacted me about being in Columbus for the night of December 6th - I realized this would be the perfect opportunity to try to get everyone together!

So let me know if you are interested in meeting up with us because I can pretty much guarantee a night of girl friends is what we all need during the hustle and bustle of the holidays!

and eat here
at 7:00pm!
