We love turkey burgers in our house, however, I feel like we need to mix up the types of turkey burgers every now and then so we don't loose interest in the semi-healthy burger that we love. This week I made a mushroom, onion, swiss turkey burger and it was delish.
1 lb 93/7 Ground Turkey
1 yellow onion
1 package of mushrooms
3 slices of swiss cheese (i go to the deli counter and have them slice just what i need - its much cheaper and this way i dont waste food!)
2-3 dashes Cumin
2-3 dashes Hamburger Seasoning
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
1-2 tablespoons Worchestershire Sauce
Mix Ground Turkey with all of the seasoning
Make all of your patties.. I could have probably stretched this to 4 patties, but I know that JM will eat 2 and I will eat one so - 1/3 lb turkey burgers it was :)
While JM was outside grilling the burgers, I started cooking up the mushrooms and onions. I first put the onions in the pan with a little EVOO
and then added the mushrooms
We also made (haha dumped outof the bag) these Sweet Potato Fries. I have tried on numerous occaions to make sweet potatoe fries, and although I don't love sweet potatoes, these are the best that I have found... and they are organic!
Here is our meal for the night
I would also be remissed if I didn't mention that this is the best burger from the evening.. while JM was plating my food, he sat the burger down touching my cottage cheese - and I freaked out! See I am part Italian, and part dramatic so my arms were flying and my arm came down and hit the plate of other 2 burgers and knocked them right on the ground.. JM being a good sport, picked up the burger and still ate it anyway! thanks bubs!!!

Those are our favorite sweet potatoe fries too! I went to buy some this past wknd and they now have a kind with chipotle seasoning (at Meijer). I usually serve them with chili sauce or make my own with ketchup and chili powder added to it.
