HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

from a few of your favorite apps :)
Friday night Justin and I got to spend time with 2 of our favorite little munchkins!
Molly painted pumpkins
{yes in the bathtub... i didn't know where else to have a 20 month old paint a pumpkin in my little carpeted condo}

but truthfully, I think her favorite part of painting was cleaning up and playing in the water
while molly painted her pumpkins - Domingo just chilled! He is such a good baby!
and we also made this cute little canvas for Katie and Jason
I hope you had a wonderful Halloween!

next up... Thanksgiving {which makes it that much closer to CHRISTMAS!}

Alli's Wedding

This past weekend my sister, Alli got married to a wonderful man, Doug!

I took a few {like 250+ pictures} but opted to only post my favorites here to spare you.

My sister and mom worked effortlessly on planning her wedding over the past 18 months, and not a single detail was spared!

It was a BEAUTIFUL day, and I think everyone who was at the wedding enjoyed themselves as much as the next!

Columbus 1/2 Marathon Results

this morning at 6:45 Justin and I headed to downtown Columbus for the 32nd annual
Columbus Marathon
as we we were walking to the starting line i ran into 2 of my best guy friends from college
it was awesome to be able to sit and talk to them prior to the race where i typically have pre-race jitters.
perhaps i was a little more confident this time because i was only running a 1/2 marathon and they were all running the full

we finally get to our corral for the 7:30 start time
we move slowly to the start line and then we begin
i have NEVER seen so many people lining the street in all of my life

it was really inspirational to know that people would come out early on a sunday morning to cheer on runners
**i can't wait to be able to be one of the people holding signs, rather than running!**
there were so many people lining the streets, i missed my grandma and grandpa at 5, and i finally saw my parents at mile marker 6 where i thought i was going to over heat because i needed to loose my shed shirt so badly!
Justin was at mile marker 7 and my sister and her fiancé Doug were at 8, my parents were then at 9 and that was the last i saw of my support crew
they were joking that i must have turned up the heat after mile marker 10 because they timed everything out, and i missed them at mile marker 11

i finally climbed up the last leg of the run {which was the same as the May 1/2... that about killed me} and knew the hill would be difficult, but I had to just keep running, one foot in front of the other
i made the turn and finally saw the 13 mile marker after we broke free from the full marathon runners
and i crossed the finish line in
2:16.01
my own PR at this point!

For not training very well, and going out to just see how hard I could push myself, I am very happy with that result. It is 4 minutes off of my last 1/2 which was a month and a half ago.

Congrats to all of my fellow runners and a BIG thank you to all of your support as well! I tweeted right before I went off, and I loved hearing the notifications through my phone while I was running. It means the world that you were all by my side during the race!

Next up... May's Capital City Half Marathon
Who's with me!??!!

So What Wednesdays....

...if I'm rather stoked that my car is getting washed and detailed today! Herbie definitely needs a good washing inside and out... {i'm fully aware this is a sign that I'm getting old!}
...if I get equally as excited to get my carpets cleaned at home... {yes, its true}
...if i really want to do a photo wall over my couch i just don't want pictures of j&i staring at all of our guests in the family room... {i'm fully aware that this is the point of the picture wall-i just need a variety of pictures to do this}
...if I'm really excited for our halloween costume idea.. I'm hoping its going to be simple and unique! Lets just say it is technology inspired!
...if I went all the way to Nashville in hopes to buy a pair of cowboy boots, however I came home with a new pair of stilettos from Nine West... srrsly! i have issues!
...if i still love my beloved buckeyes, i'm not too concerned about college football on Saturday this season - i'm fully aware that we need to be aware we can't always be good - however the last few weeks have just been pathetic... looks like i have a free weekend day that won't be absorbed by football
...if I just realized that I have a 1/2 marathon that I signed up for in 12 days, and haven't really trained for it... i'm hoping the 6 mile run I got in on Monday, and the 10 miler run I'm going to do this weekend will suffice. I just completed one not too long ago, I should be good - mind over matter-right?!
...i finally found the 100 calorie packets of pop tarts and I'm LOVING them! we have gone through a box within a week.. hello delish and filling!
...if I actually admitted that I liked Tim Tebow today after seeing him on the biggest loser {and he is kind of cute too... eek! i'm pretty sure woody hayes is rolling over in his grave b/c i just admitted that!} i think he really is a good guy and means well! now if the broncos would just give the guy a chance

A Weekend in Nashville

This past weekend was spent in Nashville celebrating one of my best friends from college's bachelorette party. I had never been to the city and I was rather excited to go to music city with 23 girls :)

All of the girls at Margaritaville on Friday night

Aly, Brandy and I all lived together my last year in college
it was fun to have an apartment reunion

It was so much fun being with all of my University of Toledo girls again!
The guest of honor of the weekend
We were walking to Coyote Ugly and ran into these two guys on the street corner.... they were just as tall {short} as Brandy! too funny!
It was so much fun to get together with some of my closest girl friends from college. I can't wait for Brandy's big day... 11/11/11!

Make Me A Meal - Shrimp Pizza Dip

When I first started dating Justin, he told my mom he would come where ever as long as she made this dip.

I don't make it very often, but always regret that I don't make it more. It is so good and really easy

Ingredients
1 block of cream cheese
Cocktail sauce
Frozen Salad Shrimp {Cooked and de-veined}
Cherry Tomatoes {Pitted without seeds to prevent excess juice on the dip}
Cheddar Cheese
Sliced Black Olives
Green Onions
Tortilla Chips

Spread your cream cheese on your platter
Add shrimp

And then add your cocktail sauce

Next layer is cheddar cheese

And then tomatoes

Followed by black olives
Then add green onions and serve with tortilla chips
ENJOY!
