All things LOVED in August

I can't believe the month is over, but its time for another round of:

all things LOVED in the month of August

1. Rimmel Nail Polish - Steel Grey
if the color is not fabulous enough to have you rush out to buy it - the brush applicator has made Rimmel my new favorite brand of nail polish. the brush is wide, and it spreads out over your entire nail while painting and it goes on smoothly.
don't get me wrong - i will miss the fun and exciting names of OPI and essie [and i may go back every now and then if i need a new color....]
but for now I'm on team Rimmel

2. New York and Company - City Stretch Lux - 5th Avenue Straight Pant
i needed new work pants and ny&co had a buy one pair get another 1/2 off
i took full advantage of it!
i love the large flair at the bottom of the pant [esp with a pair of stilettos], along with the comfortability, and professional look
[oh and a smaller size than i'm used to buying - if thats not a perfect reason to buy 2 pairs i don't know what is]

3. Yagoot
have you ever heard of this?
it is plain yogurt and you top it with fresh ingredients
i had alligator crunch [oatmeal, brown sugar and butter - YUM!] and blackberries
so refreshing

4.Little League World Series

via
i love watching the little kids get SO excited to play
and you know that they are there for the right reason and not for $ like MLB

5. Wrigley's 5 Solstice Gum
via
This gum is delicious - it reminds me of Orbit's sweet mint but
the flavor lasts much longer - its a little bit of sweet and a little bit of mint
mmmm delicious!

and in case you missed July's edition here it is

and the little town was just too cute
and the people are BEYOND nice
i would move there in a heart beat!
srrsly - whats not to love about the city

if you go to key west and have a bad time

i think its impossible to not have a good time
it is a constant party where ever you are on the island
and its tropical and beautiful!

The worst blogger of the year award goes to.......

MOI!

Thank you so much for sticking with me during the last few weeks
i apologize that i have not been very amusing with my posts lately
but if i posted what i am doing daily i'm pretty sure i would loose every last one of my favorite little followers - so i will spare you :)

my daily routine consists of working, cooking dinner, running, watching reality tv, and then going to bed - REPEAT!

and i apologize for not commenting on a lot of blogs the last few days - our computers have been down at work for the past few days and i normally spend my lunch looking through your blogs and commenting... but no worries friends - our computers are up and running and I am back!

but i thought that i would catch you up with what has been going on the in the past week

[1]
we watched this little ham tonight... my Goddaughter Molly
i love her to pieces and honestly can't get enough of her
she is simply precious

[2]
justin and i went to the AAA baseball game last week
Columbus Clippers
it has been beautiful out every evening - and i couldn't imagine not being outside most nights

[3]
only 9 more days until Ohio State home opener against Marshall

[4]
i'm hoping that i'm not turning into a tween - but i got 3 new silly bands this weekend from my parent's next door neighbor
**L**pineapple**dolphin [for tri delta]**

[5]
did anyone else miss teen mom being on tonight?

[6]
am i the only one watching the bachelor pad?
and i feel slightly guilty watching it - like my hands over my face a majority of the show and peeping through my fingers embarrassed!
who do you like? who do you want to win the $

[7]
the other day i received this package from my friend stacey who works for 3M
ummmm this is like heaven in a box if you ask me
thanks again Stace - you know me waaaay too well!

Make Me A Meal Monday - Thai Chicken Pizza

This weeks MMAMM comes from another blogger Stephanie Cooks - I saw her recipe and I knew that I had to try it!

Ingredients

20 ounces whole wheat pizza crust [or you can buy pre-made crust]
1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
3 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons rice vinegar
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon canola oil
8 ounces boneless, skinless chicken breast, trimmed and diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
2/3 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

I found my pizza crust at Trader Joe's for $.99
and i'm here to tell you that it is TASTY!
roll out the pizza dough
and cook to the instructions on dough

after the pizza crust is baked turn up the oven to 450 degrees

Meanwhile, whisk peanut butter, water, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger and garlic in a small bowl until well combined.

this week i had my friend Kush over for dinner after working out - and she graciously agreed to help me to take pictures of the steps to make the pizza - but occasionally I got one of these

okay back to the pizza - this is the completed sauce

Heat oil in skillet and add chicken for 2-4 minutes until fully cooked through
add diced red pepper and 1 tablespoon of the peanut sauce
Mix all together
you thought we were done with the self portraits.. ha! here's another
spread peanut sauce over the cooked pizza crust
spread out chicken mixture
add mozzarella cheese
and bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted
cut and enjoy
she approves!

Top 2 Tuesday - Characters You Would Like To Play

Today's top 2 theme is:

Top 2 Characters You Would Want To Play on a TV Show or Movie

1. I would LOVE to be Julie from Bethenny's getting married!

Julie is turning into a miniature B and I'm loving it!
being around Bethenny would be so much fun in my opinion
even if you do have to assist her in using the restroom before her wedding
a close runner up to this would have to be shawn rabideau - bethenny's wedding and shower planner
what a fabulous job!

2. Melanie Smooter from Sweet Home Alabama

I'm pretty sure when this movie came out in 2002 every single one of my sorority sisters [including myself] ran to the salon to get our hair styled just like this....

somehow reese pulls it off much better than any of us!
the haircut is definitely not the only reason to LOVE her in the movie what about the....
proposal
the wardrobe
the small town girl, who realizes the city isn't for her

miscellany on monday

[1]
i hope ya'll had a wonderful weekend!
ours was pretty uneventful but very productive :)
friday- JM and I golfed and then went out to dinner
saturday - i watched my friends baby beckett and cleaned the house
sunday - we celebrated JM's grandma's 89th bday and watched the PGA championship

[2]
all the TLC that i have given my tomato plant this summer has finally started to pay off - i picked all of these little guys this weekend and I can't wait to make a meal out of them today

[3]
i got my first silly band today from Michaela [justin's cousin] and i'm kinda excited... thanks Michaela!

[4]
i'm still a little bitter about the ending of the PGA championship... i feel badly for dustin johnson [i don't agree with the call regarding him grounding his club] and bubba watson [that he put his 2nd shot into the water on the final playoff hole]... oh well there is always next year!

[5]
we have some new residents living with us.. ANTS.... i totally understand that it is 90+ degrees outside, and my air conditioned condo is much more comfortable to live in - but srrsly - its time for them to get out of here!

[6]
i made a new meal this past week that was delicious! i forgot to take pictures while making the dinner - but here is the recipe from real simple - it was delicious!
sauteed chicken with peanut dipping sauce

[7]
big brother has totally sucked me in - however i still have questions after every show - and yesterday's show is no different
**can matt use the diamond power of veto to put brendan on the block?**

alright now head on over to lowercase letters by carissa and link up to her blog on your randomness for a monday!
